chocolate protein oatmeal

ingredients: 

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp ground flax
  • 2 scoops simply tera’s® organic whey protein, dark chocolate
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • strawberry, for topping
  • greek yogurt, for topping
  • cocoa Nibs, for topping

directions:

  1. combine all ingredients in a saucepan and set over medium-high heat. stir well. 
  2. bring the mixture to a boil. once the oatmeal has started to boil, simmer for about 5 more minutes, stirring often until thickened. 
  3. divide the oatmeal between bowls and top with a dollop of greek yogurt, assorted berries, and a sprinkle of cocoa nibs. serve immediately.
