ingredients:
(makes 6 bagels)
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups plain greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 scoop simply tera’s pure plain unsweetened whey protein powder
- 1 egg, whisked
- 1 tbsp everything bagel seasoning
directions:
- preheat oven to 375°f.
- add flour, greek yogurt, baking powder, salt, and simply tera’s pure plain unsweetened whey protein powder to a large mixing bowl or standing mixer with the dough hook attachment. mix well until a dough forms and is smooth.
- place the dough onto a clean and lightly floured work surface then roll into a log. cut the dough into 6 equal pieces then roll each piece into a thinner log and form into bagel shape.
- place the bagels onto a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper then brush each bagel with egg wash (whisked egg) and sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning.
- bake at 375°f for 35 minutes.
- gently move the bagels onto a wire rack to cool a bit. enjoy the bagels as they are, toast or add toppings like mozzarella cheese and mini pepperoni or cream cheese with cinnamon sugar and air fry at 400°f for 3-5 minutes.
