Whey + COFFEE: Adding Protein to your Morning Java

Two of our favorite things: Coffee and Whey! We truly get the best of both worlds when we combine the two. Adding a scoop of tera’swhey protein powder to your favorite coffee drinks is just as simple as it is nutritious. Whether you like your coffee iced or steaming, on those busy mornings, boosting your cup of joe with protein is the perfect way to kick off the day. Not sure where to start? Start simple with one of our classic coffee drink recipes:

Vanilla Iced Coffee

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz. brewed coffee (chilled)
  • 1 scoop tera’swhey bourbon vanilla whey protein powder
  • 8 oz. unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • Ice cubes

Directions:

  1. Brew 8 oz. of your favorite coffee of choice. Chill in fridge until cool.
  2. Blend or mix whey protein into the milk or milk substitute (Tip: a shaker bottle works perfectly).

Pour the milk + whey mixture into the chilled coffee and stir with spoon. Add ice to keep cold.

Mocha inspired Hot Coffee

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz. hot brewed coffee
  • ¼ – ½ c. milk or milk substitute (use as little or as much as you prefer to add to your coffee)
  • 1 scoop tera’swhey Fair Trade Certified™ Dark Chocolate Whey Protein

Directions:

  1. Brew 8 oz. of your favorite coffee of choice.
  2. Blend or mix whey protein into the milk or milk substitute (Tip: a shaker bottle works perfectly).
  3. Pour the milk + whey mixture into warm coffee and stir with spoon.
