Trick Your Treat with tera's Protein

Whether you’re watching a chocolate monster on TV or you’re surrounded by candy and the grocery store…October can be a spooky time for good habits and healthy eating.

So, you want to eat healthy but also enjoy all the tricks and treats of the Halloween season? Simple.

Trick Your Treat with these quick + easy protein recipes. 

Protein + Greek Yogurt Ghosts

It’s a modern twist on a traditional chocolate Halloween treat. Swap out the white chocolate for some Vanilla Greek Yogurt and tera’s Bourbon Vanilla™ Protein Powder.

Ingredients:

1 cup Greek Yogurt

2 scoops tera’swhey Bourbon Vanilla protein powder

12 pretzel rods

(Food coloring + toothpicks to make the haunted faces.)

Directions:

  1. Combine Greek Yogurt and protein powder in long dish.
  2. Twirl each pretzel rod in the Greek yogurt (leave about an inch or two at the bottom for an easy place to pick it up while eating.)
  3. Place the yogurt covered pretzel rod on wax paper. Let set for about 10 minutes.
  4. Add faces with food coloring.
  5. Serve immediately.

Green Protein Dressing + Baby Pumpkin Platter

 

 

 

Getting your vegetables isn’t always exciting around this season, so you have to make it exciting.  There are two ways you can trick your treat with this simple carrot + dressing mix!

Ingredients:

1 bag baby carrots

1 can black olives

¼ cup dressing or dip

1 scoop tera’swhey® plain protein powder

Green food coloring

Directions:

  1. Display baby carrots around a circular plate to look like a pumpkin.
  2. Open olives and place into a face on top of the baby carrots.
  3. Mix protein and dressing in a small bowl. Add green food coloring until it has the effect you’re looking for.
  4. Serve immediately or cover and store in the fridge until you’re ready to eat it!

Cucumber + Protein Hummus Turkey Skewers

Sometimes all it takes is a pop of color to make a snack fly off the plate. With all the dark (and overwhelmingly orange) foods and colors this season, these green and pink skewers will bring a fresh look to your snack table and a fresh taste to your pallet. Try these turkey and cucumber skewers and mix some protein into your favorite hummus for an extra helping of protein!

Ingredients:

1 large cucumber, washed

1 package Turkey slices, thin

Hummus

1 scoop tera’swhey® plain protein powder

Toothpicks

Directions:

  1. Wash and cut the cucumber into small chunks.
  2. Cut the turkey slices in half and fold onto the toothpick.
  3. Alternate every other between the turkey slices and the cucumbers.
  4. Mix hummus and protein powder.
  5. Serve immediately or cool in the fridge for later.
