Superfood Smoothie Bowl (Protein Fluff Style)

Superfood Smoothie Bowl (Protein Fluff Style)

Ingredients:

Base:

  • 1 cup frozen berries (Lindsey used 1/4 c frozen cherries and 3/4 c frozen blueberries)
  • 1/4 c tera’swhey Bourbon Vanilla Protein Powder
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened almond milk
  • Splash of vanilla extract

Toppings:

  • Chia seeds (+ dark chocolate chia seeds, optional)
  • Hemp hearts
  • Almond butter

Equipment needed:

  • Hand held blender (immersion blender)
  • Electric mixer (hand-held works best)

Directions:

  • Add base ingredients (frozen berries, protein, almond milk, vanilla) to large bowl
  • Use immersion blender to blend everything together. This will seem kind of difficult for the first 10 seconds (Lindsey says “as in… “there’s not enough liquid to blend here!” but then the magic will happen”)
  • Once ingredients look like a thick smoothie, use the hand held mixer to whip the mixture. This will add a ton of volume and is when the “fluff” really becomes fluff
  • Transfer to a bowl, top with your superfood toppings and eat immediately.
