Living beyond the shake: Sneaking protein powder into your every day

We know first-hand that throwing back protein shake after protein shake can get a bit…dull. But here’s the awesome news: Protein powder is one of the most versatile healthy ingredients (at least we think so)! Use this handy guide to find out how you can sneak our various flavors of protein powder into any meal of the day.

Breakfast:

If you eat:

  • Oatmeal: sprinkle and stir in ½ to 1 scoop of any flavor of our whey protein then top with fruit
  • Yogurt Parfait: mix in ½ to 1 scoop any flavor protein powder into the yogurt and then top with granola and fruit
  • Waffles/Pancakes/Crepes: substitute about 1/3 c. flour with 2 scoops of any flavor of tera’swhey protein
  • Smoothie: take your favorite smoothie recipe and pump it up with 1 serving of tera’swhey protein to keep full for longer
  • Eggs: make your eggs power eggs by whisking in ½ a scoop of plain unsweetened tera’swhey

 

 

Lunch/Dinner:

If you eat:

  • Soup: after heating the soup stir in ½ a scoop of plain unsweetened whey protein
  • Burgers: if hand making the beef, turkey, black bean, or veggie burgers, try adding a scoop of protein to the “meat” before cooking
  • Pasta Dish: whether you’re using marinara or alfredo to top your noodles, mix in a scoop of plain whey to your favorite sauce for a more substantive meal
  • Pizza: make your own crust and substitute about 1/3 c of flour for 2 scoops of tera’swhey plain whey

 

Dessert:

If you eat:

  • Brownies/cookies/bars/cakes: replace desired amount of flour with protein powder, usually 1-2 servings. (TIP: if you’re a chocolate lover like we are, add our dark chocolate whey protein to any dessert recipe)
  • Popsicles: whip up your own popsicles using molds, fruit, protein powder, yogurt and almond milk
  • Whipped Cream: if you are planning on making your own whipped cream, add one serving of tera’swhey bourbon vanilla protein powder
  • “Nice” cream: Place two frozen bananas, chocolate protein powder and a tablespoon of almond milk in a food processor and process on high until smooth
