Protein Bites Make the Perfect, Healthy Snack

As much as we love healthy snacks like nuts and veggies, sometimes you (and your taste buds) need a little something extra. Protein bites offer the best of both worlds–healthy protein to keep you full and rich flavor to satisfy your sweet tooth! whether you’re on-the-go or at home, protein bites are a satisfying snack to power you through your workout or tide you over until your next meal. Not to mention, they are perfect to prepare ahead of time and keep in your office desk or in your bag.

These delicious Chocolate, Oat + PB Protein Bites were inspired and created by Forkin Pancakes who whipped them up at home and shared them with us! Now it’s your turn:

Makes 12-14 Whey Protein Balls

  • 1½ cups large rolled oat flakes or
  • 3 scoops Tera’s Whey Organic Bourbon Vanilla Whey Protein
  • ½ cup natural peanut butter
  • ⅓ cup raw honey
  • ¼ cup mini M&M’s
  • ¼ cup mini chocolate chips
  • ½ tsp vanilla

 

  1. Add all ingredients to a large mixing bowl and mix until all ingredients are well combined
  2. Using your hands, roll into 1 1/2″ balls and set on parchment paper
  3. (Optional) Refrigerate for 30 minutes to help them harden
  4. Store in ziplock or air tight container for up to a week. Enjoy!

 

For a cleaner option, substitute ingredients listed below and proceed to steps 1-4

 

  • 1½ cups gluten free rolled oats
  • 3 scoops Tera’s Whey Organic Bourbon Vanilla Whey Protein
  • ½ cup organic peanut butter
  • ⅓ cup organic raw honey
  • ¼  cup organic  mini chocolate chips
  • ½ tsp vanilla
